Safety First: Contraindications, Eye Protection, and Sensitivity
LED therapy is generally safe, but it still uses light energy. Follow the manufacturer guidance on distance and session length.
Protect your eyes with the provided goggles or keep eyes closed. Never stare directly into the LEDs, especially blue light.
Consult a professional before use if you have:
- Photosensitive conditions.
- Light triggered migraines or a seizure history.
- Photosensitizing medications, such as some antibiotics or isotretinoin.
If you are pregnant, follow the device guidance or check with your clinician.
For sensitive skin, start with shorter sessions and increase slowly. Stop if you feel pain, burning, or persistent irritation.
Keep the device clean, store it away from heat and moisture, and check for damaged cables. LED should feel warm, not hot.
